In 2023, Media For All, Uganda (MFA), implemented the ‘Revamping Professional Journalism in Madi Sub Region’ (RPJ) project, with the main aim to restore professionalism among journalists in Madi Sub Region through the creation of a media excellence center whose main goal is to mentor journalists and media practitioners to improve access to credible and reliable information that can empower ordinary people to participate actively in public affairs and decision-making. The project benefited 15 journalists from the Ma’di subregion and was implemented between March 2023 and 2024. The project was funded from one-off donations, fundraising, and partnerships.
in 2024, Media For All, Uganda (MFA), implemented the ‘Collaborative Media Spaces: Boosting Team Productivity in West Nile’ (CMS) project. This project seeks to revamp professionalism among journalists in the West Nile Region by creating a platform for collaboration between media spaces, actors, players, and journalists. The main objective of this project is to build a strong network of professional media personalities and journalists in West Nile. The project is being funded by one-off donations, story grants, fellowship opportunities, fundraising, and partnerships.
In 2025, MFA is implementing the ‘Journalism that inspires change in informed communities’ project. The main objective of this project is to scale up media advocacy on local issues and improve social accountability by duty bearers in West Nile. This will be done through broadcasting 10 well-researched, impactful stories. The project is being funded by one-off donations, story grants, fellowship opportunities, fundraising, and partnerships.
